Chris Crain is a genre-blending musician whose sound fuses Soul, Jazz, R&B, and Blues into a voice unmistakably his own. A gifted vocalist, pianist, songwriter, and producer, Chris has collaborated with an array of acclaimed artists, including Grammy Award–winning vocalist and arranger Mark Kibble (Take 6), Marva King, Roger Ryan, Frank McComb, Eric Roberson, and Anthony Crawford, among others. Born in Mississippi and now based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Chris draws from the deep roots of Gospel, Funk, Jazz, and Country, crafting music that tells stories of perseverance, identity, and hope. His artistry reflects the influence of icons such as Take 6, Bill Withers, Herbie Hancock, Sam Cooke, James Taylor, and Stevie Wonder—artists whose soul, innovation, and authenticity continue to shape his sound. In 2025, Chris released his highly anticipated 13-track album Dreams, a project three years in the making that showcases his evolution as an artist and visionary. The album features two standout duets: “Better,” with Grammy Award–winning artist Mark Kibble of Take 6, and “Choosing You,” featuring internationally acclaimed vocalist Marva King. Both songs exemplify Chris’s signature blend of heartfelt storytelling and timeless soul, merging depth, groove, and emotional authenticity.

Chris’s personal story is as powerful as his music. Born with Brachial Plexus Palsy, he transformed what others saw as a limitation into a source of strength and inspiration. In 2011, he founded The Better Project Awareness Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting self-worth, perseverance, and positive identity through music, mentorship, and mental health advocacy. His single, “They Say,” inspired by his own experiences and his work with youth, has been translated into 16 languages and continues to inspire audiences worldwide. His collaboration with Eric Roberson on “Stay” further underscores his creative range and emotional depth.

When he’s not performing or producing, Chris lives in Milwaukee with his wife and two children, mentoring youth through free music and arts camps. Whether on stage, in the studio, or in the community, Chris Crain is more than a musician—he’s a storyteller, an innovator, and a beacon of hope whose music inspires, uplifts, and transforms.
