Join Jammin 98.3 at Juneteenth Celebration, Monday, June 19th!
Juneteenth commemorates the ending of slavery in the United States. On June 19, 1865, Union soldiers landed at Galveston, Texas with news that the Civil War had ended and that the enslaved were now free.
The celebration begins with the 52nd Juneteenth Jubilee Parade at 8 AM. The parade starts at 14th and Atkinson, turns south at the Five Points intersection, and ends at MLK and Locust, at Rose Park. Opening Ceremonies start at 9:30 AM at the Jammin’ 98.3 Main Stage at King Drive & Locust St., and the party goes on until 6 PM.
