Tony A. Kearney, Sr., is currently the Executive Director, of Northcott Neighborhood House, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where he’s responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of a variety of community-focused programs and activities. Under Tony’s leadership, Northcott Neighborhood is responsible for producing one of the largest and longest-running Juneteenth Day Celebrations in the country (53 Years).

In addition to the Juneteenth Activities, Northcott provides a number of employment and training initiatives, such as Milwaukee Builds, which teaches construction and deconstruction skills to trainees, while working with area developers and contractors to produce affordable housing, in the City of Milwaukee. For the past 13 years under Tony’s leadership, Northcott’s employment and training team has created employment opportunities on a variety of multi-million-dollar construction-focused employment and training initiatives in partnerships with Gorman and Company, private developers, and construction companies. These partnerships allow; unemployed residents to acquire both classroom and hands-on skills training while being paid a modest wage.

Tony has worked in a variety of positions, that have helped to improve access to services and employment opportunities for low-income residents in Milwaukee. Prior to joining Northcott, Tony was the Chief Operating Officer, of the Dr. Howard L. Fuller Foundation, where he oversaw daily operations while developing employment and training initiatives and social programming to benefit the Community. As CEO of T. KEARNEY & ASSOCIATES, he was instrumental in developing one of the first customized training initiatives where he engaged the community, churches,s and the private sector to create employment and training opportunities for welfare clients in the City of New York. Mr. Kearney’s other work experiences include working with Turner Government Operations on the State of Indiana’s welfare reform initiative as well as working with MAXIMUS on welfare reform initiatives in Milwaukee, New York, New Yor,k and Phoenix, Arizona, as Director of Operations for the Private Industry Council of Milwaukee (Employ Milwaukee). Mr. Kearney began developing employment and training initiatives in collaboration with Milwaukee Area Technical College and private sector employer/s to customize training, while recruiting and preparing trainees from Milwaukee’s, unemployed and underemployed residents for guaranteed jobs in non-traditional fields, with the participating employer/s.

Tony’s commitment to the underprivileged residents of Milwaukee, is his driving force. He’s committed to developing and implementing programming that improves the overall quality of life for youth, senior citizens, and unemployed or underemployed residents in Milwaukee.
