TON KO-THI CHILDREN’S PERFORMING ENSEMBLE
Join Ton Ko-Thi for two free live performances. For 40 years, Ko-Thi has been an artistic institution in Milwaukee, constantly dedicated to the preservation and performance of traditional African-American and Caribbean dance and drumming. A main component of Ko-Thi’s educational outreach includes the nurturing and development of children 6-18 through Ton Ko-Thi, translated as “Little Ko-Thi”. Come enjoy the hard work and creative energy of these young dancers.

The Black Knowledge Bowl is a tournament style competition for high school and middle school aged teams. The teams will be quizzed on a wide range of topics including African History, Discovery & Industry, Writing & Art, Education & Government and Milwaukee Black History. The event will also feature musical selections from St Mark’s own Angel Choir, Young Levities Choir, Anvil Choir, Celestial Choir, Liturgical dancers, the Praise Team, the Praise Chorale, with additional selections from the Riverside University High School Gospel Choir.
