Hip-hop icon Rev.Run is set to become a grandfather for the first time – his actress daughter Vanessa Simmons is pregnant.

The Run D.M.C. star’s eldest child broke the news to fans on her Instagram.com page on Monday, revealing she is expecting a girl.

Uploading her sonogram, the 30-year-old simply wrote, “a little princess on the way.”

Her thrilled father then took to his website to boast about the family’s latest addition, writing, “Our families are super excited. Our baby is coming into two big families with lots of love and lots of joy. This is my family’s first grandchild, so everybody can’t wait for her arrival.”

The baby will be Simmons’ first with her boyfriend Mike Wayans, son of comedian Damon Wayans.
