MILWAUKEE (AP) — Milwaukee Brewers fans are expressing disappointment, sadness and disgust that MVP Ryan Braun has been suspended for violating baseball’s drug program.

Dave Simono, of New Berlin, says he believed Braun was telling the truth when he denied taking performance-enhancing drugs last year. Simono says now he just feels disgusted.

The Brewers slugger accepted a 65-game suspension Monday after dodging a penalty last year when an arbitrator overturned his positive drug test.

Jeff Fischbach was driving to Miller Park Monday night in his Ryan Braun T-shirt when he heard the news. He called his friend and asked him to bring duct tape to the ballpark. The Journal Sentinel says Fischbach used the tape to mark an “X” over Braun’s number on his T-shirt, tape over all-star’s name and write “Liar” on the tape.
