The Anita Bee Foundation presents the 1st Annual Domestic Violence Benefit in memory of Anita M. Brooks (Burgos) on Saturday, April 20 from 6pm-1am at Serb Hall, 5101 W. Oklahoma Avenue.

The benefit will raise awareness about domestic violence and proceeds will go to building the Anita Bee Foundation Resource Center.  The center will empower all individuals and families to have safe and happy relationships.

There will be live entertainment, auction and raffle items, speakers and more.  Admission is $10 at the door.  Plus there will be a sit-down dinner from 6pm-7pm for $8 per person.

Anita Bee was a well-loved spoken word poet, daughter and mother.  She was shot to death by her husband in January 2013.
