If you’re thinking about buying a home, consider attending the FREE City of Milwaukee Homeownership Fair on Saturday, May 4 from 8am-Noon at the Italian Conference Center, 631 E. Chicago Street.

Exhibitors will showcase a range of homes from fully rehabilitated “turnkey” properties, to modestly priced homes in need of renovation. City staff will be on hand to explain the NSP Homebuyer Assistance Program which can provide forgivable loans of up to $30,000 to homebuyers who are purchasing and rehabilitating foreclosed homes in specific neighborhoods. Workshops will clarify the homeownership process. Housing counselors and lenders can answer individual questions about loan approval and steps to improve credit.

The fair is presented by Take Root Milwaukee in connection with the City of Milwaukee.
